Xbox should try to make a Mass Effect-like HALO RPG...

...because IMO it could work.

Maybe set it pre-Covenant for first few chapters so you can explore human cities, train your custom Spartan from kid to soldier, maybe even meet young John 117.

Then mid-game it's up to you. Go wherever, do whatever. Will you fight the aliens or join them?

Also make option for third-person cam for a change. I'm always fascinated by the idea of a Halo in different perspective because not only it's already there (i.e. when you drive Warthog) but wanna see those sweet-looking Spartar armors!

It could be the sparkplug game the franchise needs right? Who knows really...

Interesting concept, but I would say avoid using Master Chief. Halo reaaaally needs to dig into different Spartans if they want the franchise to survive (give the man a break!). The lore is definitely expansive enough that you could make your own Spartan or at least pick from different pre established ones.

I do like the 3rd person perspective to be able to see your Spartan, it just seems so different from classic Halo .
