I have this sort of premonition or epiphany that these 3 companies would eventually make a dedicated videogame console, either similar to a Steamdeck or traditional (PS5, Xbox, etc), in this decade or the next few...
Each of their own or together.
In a sense they already are one foot out of the door; Nvidia with their ultratech Geforce graphics cards, Meta's industry-leading VR headset Quest & the gold standard in game engines Unreal by Epic.
Nvidia has been at the forefront of high-performance computing & graphics-based processing since the 90s when 3 tech guys formed the company while eating at Denny's. Meta is relatively new kids on the block; they're the Facebook guys that bought Palmer Lucky's "Oculus Rift" & revived the current VR race (or craze, depending on who you ask). Epic's Unreal has been the best-in-class & go-to engine by everyone since the dawn of the 21st century, additionally they have the pop culture BR hit Fornite.
But what if these 3 tech giants team-up to form an alliance... say "Epic Quest Shield"? The "Unreal GeQuest"? "Meta Force U"?
That this gaming device would usher in a new direct competitor to Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo & Valve. They already have the infrastructures & expert in technologies each operate masterfully: Nvidia's visual & other ventures such as AI. Meta's hardware & mass appeal. Epic's engine & store. So co-creating of something that would revolutionize the videogame landscape as we know isn't that farfetched in my opinion.
Just a gut feeling you know guys... or maybe my stomach is just .
Thoughts on this everybody.
