What's you opinion on Warhammer 40k Space Marine II and the general Warhammer Lore? Especially for beginners

I started playing Space Marine from 2011 and fell in love with it. Played space marine 2 and loved it even more. I'm just grinding and grinding. But what's up with the lore etc? Is it really THAT big? And where do I even start? Really curious

Like you i've no idea where to start but the lore does seem extremely vast and detailed. A gigantic rabbit hole to go into full of cool shit lol
