What’s the best game world you’ve ever explored?

There are some incredible worlds to dive into and get lost in.

Whats the most interesting place you’ve explored in a game? Is it the neon drenched streets of Cyberpunk? Going on quests in the wastelands of Fallout? Maybe hunting robot dinosaurs in Horizon?

I love so many. Arkham Knights Gotham, the old west of Red Dead Redemption 2… but my pick for best world is:

GTA V - great mix of urban and rural, coastal and mountain terrain, sea and sky. Filled with Easter eggs, secrets, fun activities and an excellent variety of transportation to mess around with.

What’s your pick?

GTA V for sure... Sleeping Dogs as well... And some others. I mean I assume this is just about open-world games so I can't mention ones that aren't like the TLOU, Uncharted, GOW etc. games as well. And what's next for me is GTA VI for sure! (y)

Cool thread thanks for this Sol bro 😊!

Anyway the moment I read the title I instantly can name my #1: Ghost Recon Wildlands.

It's so enormous yet diverse, full of neverending things to see & do, plus very accurate too (Bolivia).

What I wouldn't give for a direct sequel (no just **** Breakpoint lol).

Anyway other notables are Lands Between of Elden Ring, Oregon of Days Gone & Egypt of Assassin's Creed Origins.

There's so many incredible ones it's hard to pick just one! A very notable one for me was Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West. So many different biomes, the lighting, detail---it all culminated into something really special. Something about nighttime in those games and wandering around and seeing the lights of the machines glowing 👌🏼

I honestly loved exploring Elden Ring. Probably one of the greatest sense of discovery I’ve had in the last 10 years. It wasn’t really “interesting” though.

The only game that comes close to that was Zelda Breath of the Wild; a little zany and humor with wonder and awe

RDR 2 and Ghost of Tsushima worlds are beautiful. I would even add AC Odyssey and Valhalla to the list. But I recently replayed Elden Ring to get ready for Shadow of the Erdtree and nothing compares to the excitement of finding a hidden path or a cool boss at the end of an unmarked cave.

Great thread - RDR2, GTA (specifically the 3D era, as all games and characters were connected, made it feel so much larger that way) and Bioshock 1. Bioshock 1 has the best worldbuilding I've ever experienced, 10/10 IGN recommend

How do you think Sleeping Dogs holds up gameplay wise today? Does it feel clunky?

How strong is the narrative story in Ghost Recon Wildlands? I bought it on one of Ubisoft's super cheap sales one time.

Elden Ring is incredible, there's so much hidden i only found out about an entire dungeon last month lmao

Hardest game I've ever played. I played only Elden Ring for at least 2 months. Just feels so daunting to go do that again! But to experience that again, wow! It would be incredible.

Hands down The alan wake/Bright Falls, Washington--- is like a never-ending Halloween town. Completely able to live there with a dash of shadow creatures. Ap place where you can relax and take in the nature. And fight shadow creatures.

WildsLand is my fav. i played it several times over and the added DLC. in my opinion is better then Division 2 and breakpoint. Its just fun, and the environment is gorgeous. Take your time and snipe through the game rather run and gun. Play it like Sniper Elite.

I really enjoyed the gameplay loop for Division 2. I'll have to give another try.
