What is your dream game?

Inspired by a recent post by GiGAHEART -- what is your dream setting / franchise for a game and what sort of game would it be?

Mine is a Lord of the Rings game in the style of Witcher 3 or The Elder Scrolls. I feel like they would translate the lore and intricacies of the world of Middle Earth across to a game best.

I’ve always wanted a single player narrative driven dystopian third person shooter where every building is explorable including skyscrapers. Every floor is accessible and you encounter firefights on your way to the top. Vehicles are included for travel. I’m picturing sort of The Division with the cinematic experience of a Rockstar or Naughty Dog game. Not a looter shooter.

By the time tlou 5 comes out this might just come true 😄

Thank you for the shoutout there Cap 😊!

But yeah for me that would be the game too, either LOTR or Game of Thrones open world RPG epic.

Othe than that, an open world Transformers game like the PS2 one. That game is so far ahead of its time. A remake / remaster would be enough for me too please somebody 🥺!!!

I guess an original game idea would be... John Wick meets Assassin's Creed or something. The gunplay of Wick & the exploration of AC game only this time would be modern day city (Tokyo would be an amazing choice for a setting).

Thanks again Cap!

Dude... Did you just describe Matrix 🧐?

I wanted an offline singleplayer open world Matrix game since playing Path of Neo back in the day similar to GTA but as you said, skyscrapers & open any door in existence.

Be anyone & anywhere. Do anything Do you become an Agent or fight the system with Neo & the Resistance... Man what a game that could be!

A zombie survival game similar to State of Decay 2 but bigger, better, and more immersive in every way. I'd want additional base-building mechanics, survivor relationships, more intuitive crafting and construction; just the type of game you can lose yourself in for hundreds or thousands of hours.

I've always like the idea of Days Gone + State of Decay + Dying Light for the ultimate zombie game ever conceived.

Not sure if we can ever play something like what I just said but there's of course State of Decay 3...

...which I hope close to what you described there Brandon!

I cannot wait for State of Decay 3! It's easily my most anticipated game coming in the next few years.

I have two dream games, and both would involve taking advantage of the Flight Simulator engine and the Bing world in it.

I would love to see two different games made from it. A Cannonball Run racing style game that takes place around the entire world. And then a World Conflict type of game where you bring in different teams, different militaries, with real time flights to different countries, fighter jets, ships.

A game modeled around the entire earth.

I want to play it, but I don't want to babysit people. I don't want to find them food or grow gardens. If they could make that stuff optional, I would be even more excited.
Call me weird, but I enjoy that stuff. I like the attachment you can form with the other survivors and your base, and I hope they expand upon that in the third game.

I can see why it's appealing, and it lends itself to the more realistic life (is that a thing?) in a zombie apocalypse. I just remember when I was playing that people were getting all pissy at me, and I was like...COME ON..I am trying to save the world! Why don't you go shoot a pig and make a ham sandwich! 😎

Starfield was in concept probably one of my most desirable games. Haven't played it since I'm on PS5, but I've seen it was a bit empty.

Cyberpunk 2077 was probably even more so than Starfield.

Well, after enjoying Half-Life 2 in 2004 and the things that were possible in that game in that period. Would love to see Half-Life 3, if it can bring new technologies with it.

And a Battlefield that's equal, if not better, than Battlefield 3 and 4. Which could be coming soon (fingers crossed)🤞
