Sony is gearing for the movie to arrive so thats why the remake. Same reason why LOUP1 got remaked for The HBO seriesIn terms of games that needed a remake this isnt or wasnt one. Granted its been a while since I played it but from memory it looked good and played well anyway and is probably very cheap to pick up these days. Companies just put so many resources into the wrong projects.
Companies are so hesitant to develop new IP nowadays. Why make something new and un-tested when we could re- release Skyrim for the 700th time!In terms of games that needed a remake this isnt or wasnt one. I still believe the only game that ever deserved some sort of support when it came to remaking games was Mafia Definitive Edition. That thing was another level of remake. I also believe that the trend of remakes started from this game only!In any case, I generally don't buy remakes unless they really deserved to be made like RE2/3 and 4 did, not having played any of them at the time, I played Until Dawn in 2020 and I wouldn't throw money at it, I'd rather- I'm saving them for something new.

I think they have good innovative movies as well other than just IP. what are there? Star Wars, Fast and Furious, James Bond, I dont think there is much.Kinda like Hollywood if were honest. Seems that imagination and taking a chance takes a back seat to trying whats tried and tested just to make money.
Epic says that the Lumen tech can help run games 4k 60 lmaoSome of the gameplays looked to be running at 25 FPS, clearly Unreal Engine 5 issue
Tbf the Until Dawn Remake has some good improvements that most remakes dont have..How do you mess up a remake! that is really just a fancy remaster?
And they added some new material in the game. But this should have been an easier win! I already believed it was going to underperform. This narrative is going to hurt it that much more.Tbf the Until Dawn Remake has some good improvements that most remakes dont have..
I think this is a move for the movie thats coming and now almost confirmed its sequel. Since Until Dawn is a Sony IP.And they added some new material in the game. Do you think people will watch the movie and then be motivated to play the game (which is exactly the same) because they can make choices?I think this is a move for the movie thats coming and now almost confirmed its sequel. Since Until Dawn is a Sony IP.
I think the choices honestly, the movie might probably show the canon ending and maybe few surprises here and there but maybe when u get to the choices I think ppl will atleast give the try to play the game.Do you think people will watch the movie and then be motivated to play the game (which is exactly the same) because they can make choices?
Now that I write that, I can see how that might be more appealing than playing TLOU Part 1 after watching the show. At least in the game you can change how things end/result.
How do you think they will capture the butterfly effect in the movie?

MONEY MONEY MONEY CHAAA CHIIIINGGGGInteresting...
As far as I recall the original was 40 USD then got "Playstation Hits" perma price of around 20 bucks or so (I bought mine for like 5 in a sale).
I don't know how they came up with that higher price for nearly a decade old game, granted shiny graphics but still gameplay wise it's basically what it was.
