Pokemon Games on Switch - Recommendations

I grew up playing Pokemon games hardcore and the last one I really played was probably Platinum on the DS Lite. I've got a switch lite and have been trying to decide which one to dip my toes back into on switch. I really don't care for the latest few gens of Pokemon cause to me they just seem so different from the ones I grew up with.

I've seen Legends Arceus is a really different formula to the traditional Pokemon games which interests me, but I'm curious what other people would recommend.

HeartGold and SoulSilver + Black & White 1 and 2 definitely worth a play for after Platinum

I tried only Pokémon Shining Pearl. And I liked it in general. But the gameplay is quite repetitive as for me.
