Intel has announced its new Arc GPUs based on the Xe2-HPG architecture, codenamed “Battlemage.” This is the same underlying architecture featured in the Core Ultra 200V “Lunar Lake,” which has proven to be competitive in the integrated GPU market. Intel wants its Battlemage GPUs to disrupt the market but will not compete in the high-end tier. Instead, they will target the entry- or mid-range level, comparable to the RTX 4060 series.

The Arc B580 is a BGM-G21-based graphics card that features 20 Xe2-Cores. This model will ship with 12GB of GDDR6 memory across a 192-bit memory bus. It will boost up to 2.67 GHz, with even higher performance available in custom designs from board partners. Officially, this card requires 190W of power.

Intel is also launching a cut-down model called the Arc B570, which features 18 Xe2-Cores and 10GB of GDDR6 memory across a 160-bit memory bus. This configuration results in lower memory bandwidth compared to the B580. It will need even less power of 150W.

Both cards are equipped with a PCIe 4.0 x8 interface and DisplayPort 2.1 connectors (UHBR13.5).

Intel announced that the B580 will retail for $249, and it will be available starting from December 13, while the B570 will be priced at $219, and it will launch on January 16, 2025.
