How do you think Playstation can improve?

Communication in particular is the main problem at PlayStation today (besides that the games take too long, but that may be in general). We rarely receive information about games such as Wolverine which was first seen in 2021... and events a lot of hype very rarely, I personally don't see SoPs being a better option even if they are more frequent maybe 3-4 times a year compared to a 1-hour showcase where you present your best, I always prefer one alone , but there you give everything you have. Another problem of PlayStation & Sony is the price increase and trying to make money from anything such as a separate driver disc, separate stand, increased subscriptions, price differences in Europe and so on, this thing bothers me disappoints.

I fear Sony is losing the plot. They need to remind their core audience/fans why they are important and valued. They got to keep the core audience satisfied while expanding into the other growth vectors. While now they are just acting arrogant. I know harsh.

It is an interesting topic as we all know that PlayStation is in a bit of a shift at the moment. They've spent a while greenlighting Live-Service games that're successful like Helldivers 2, Disastrous like Concord or never see the light of day like Last of Us factions.

I'd say for me they need to re-affirm that they're still into making high quality single player titles along with really polished fun multiplayer games. I also want to see them dip into their back catalogue for remakes or reboots. I am desperate for a Bloodborne remake / remaster and I think a new Killzone would go down well at the moment. I'd love to see them do more to fix backwards compat on PS5 so we can play PS3 games natively, allowing for a console that really does excel on all fronts.

Make original games and interesting sequels. The remaster business need to stop, unless it are very old games that could have a shot at new remakes/remasters. Not remasters of 3 year old games. And be a bit more friendly towards your players in terms of consoles. Buying a stand seperately? Really sad that they need to do that and ask 30 euro's for it...

I see your point. I think their whole strategy shifted a lot ever since they lost money with Concord and Wolverine got leaked like crazy. I wouldn't be surprised if they changed the full game and story too. But what I do think is, Sony's strong point is the single player games and they should look to deliver more of these and as many as they can. I'd even mention the PlayStation Plus being lackluster ever since last year and they just bumped the prices up on that as well

This may have happened after Xbox just died. Nintendo is lawyering up like crazy and it's just 100 other Mario games while Sony seems to be just chilling

Cut the crap with all the remasters and traditional single player studios working on multiplayer games. Making MP games is fine, but leave it to the studios experienced with it.
Remaster the games that people want instead of the ones that already run good but I wonder what's their plan... Like once you're done remastering all the games that basically didn't need it, what are you going to do after that?

It's funny how people have been vocal on a Bloodborne Remake/Remastered. It's the only game they could remaster for $100 and people would buy due to how high demand is.

I'm not sure what they're trying to do here but ok. Bloodborne remastered is a must but for Sony maybe it's a no. And even a few games from Japan Studio but they just seem to have no interest in that

Hey everyone, would t love to know your ideas, theories or concepts for PlayStation that you think can be done to improve themselves
Playstation imo is doing alr. Good Third and First party games and yeah imo terrible choices of remasters and remakes lol

1. Smaller projects (Freedom Wars should have been first-party, they need to bring back Soul Sacrifice and others too)

2. PC Launcher with cross-buy solutions

3. Outsource live-service endeavours and leave first-party to what they do best

4. Completely take over Bungie, Destiny has MAJOR potential and its been wasted

5. Invest in Asian development teams

For me:

  • Ability to buy the game once and play it on multiple devices
  • Try to put out new IPs between sequels for new experiences
  • Lower prices of the consoles
  • Lower the prices of the PSN Plus subs
  • Communicate with the core gamer base more
I like that Guerilla is working with Legos between their releases for a fun, family friendly experience. While not a new IP per se, it's still a great added value to the PS line up.
