Dragon Age: The Veilguard Hype Check

Anyone else hyped for Veilguard?

I need a new RPG in my life and this looks really good. Plus, Inquisition is one of my favourite games of all time and I need to find out what happens to our egghead friend.

NGL, I kinda liked the combat from the SOP

I'm hyped and feel confident this will be a GOTY Contender. Also the whole combat and companion system feels like it was designed for the next Mass Effect Game. I fully expect them to re-use it.

It probably sold enough to give them a couple years grace.

That initial trailer was bad, but everything else besides the Qunari looks awesme, and now they announced that Hans Zimmer makes the OST! That makes it more epic.

After watching the new gameplay, not excited. Had played all games since Origins but this one doesn't seem to be exciting at all, specially after they confirmed none of choices in previous games will be considered

I started off not interested at all due to some big changes, but recently, I watched a few videos that made me come around to it. Previews were also very positive, so I'm very cautiously optimistic.

The reveal trailer was really bad. The Qunari models and the big heads are also really bad. However, I am still very very excited for the game and I will play it day 1.

Most of the people that are angry about the games are not even RPG fans and they look at it through a God of War lens after looking a bit at the combat. Bioware shines when writing characters and stories. That's why we play their games.
I loved the combat in DAO and DA2 and hated it in Inquisition. It was obvious they would build on the latter. Personally I prefer this way of controlling the companions. It's similar to FF7 remake, Scarlet nexus, Guardians of the Galaxy.
