i have a i9-12900F , 32gig ram, 3080 and its still playing games 4k 60(70ish) . I know I cant get frame gen, but I don't see a real reason to upgrade. Am I missing something, there seem to be only a handful of games that even benefit, Alan Wake, Cybertpunk. I am playing VR( meta quest pcvr) with no major glitches at 90htz. What is your guy's experience? Is it even worth upgrading to 40 or even 50 nvida?

Im still rocking the 3080 as well. My only reason to upgrade in the future would be for efficiency. This thing heats up my room pretty well… I guess, winter is coming!

yeah if does get pretty toasty. but I can live with that. I'm still just not seeing that advantage other than frame gen. which again is in a few games. And even if it works well. I still feel like games are still trying to get HDR implanted correctly and 4k 60. I have not played a new game in the last 3 years that didn't arrive broken somehow, ever since the release of Cyberpunk it just seems like everyone ok with releasing broken games. Just tired of having top-of-the-line hardware that just for braggin rights. .. lol i.e broken games / unoptimized games. I'm jaded lol

For sure! I forgot to mention that I have the EVGA FTW3 version. I wonder if they have a special retail value? Lol

Sadly no, hardware doesn't value with time unless it's extremely rare and in pristine condition. EVGA produced hundreds of thousands of cards before quitting Nvidia partnership.
