It doesn't make any sense. Publishers are trying to find ways to save money or widen their profit margin and they're gonna spend the money to port to Xbox? Did they not get the memo that Xbox is going third-party? They're pulling a SEGA? That means everything available on Xbox will be available on PlayStation and Switch but not the other way around, unless Xbox figures a way to get Steam and Epic Games launcher to run on their upcoming console which would be a full-on PC pretty much and then one could play PlayStation's biggest releases.
There's no point in releasing software for Xbox's console at that point other than a very small pool of loyalists, the bulk will move on to PlayStation to play all their games with their friends and a much less expensive service where they'll own the software they buy. Not to mention the gripes and complaints of how difficult porting to the Xbox Series S, is somehow where the PS4 can be ported to without any problem, but Series S isn't very fun and worth skipping altogether while they take the time and spend the money to figure it out.
Where's logic in all of this? People just react and make stupid decisions after they've just complained their profits aren't what they once were. They have a bored comprised of idiots that can't think that just have a bunch of money to invest and want to feel important I guess. Tell me how this makes sense? Once Indiana Jones, Gears, and Halo see PlayStation shores, it's over. It's Sonic on Nintendo, except Nintendo is the only one that didn't bow out in cowardess and lose confidence in their own hardware porting to the PC, again, a board comprised of people that can't think. The industry is just falling apart. I'm seeing another crash coming
