It hurt so bad when they cancelled this. OG Battlefront and Battlefront 2 were probably my most played games of the PS2 era.
This year I replayed the BF2 campaign. Still awesome.
To be transparent I also really love EA’s Battlefront 1 & 2 and wish they would also develop Battlefront 3, but that’s not happening.

I would've loved to play it, sure... although I heard the [planned] story campaigns were just a series of self-contained "What If?" missions, not following a strict chain of events/continuity leading up to the ending. Just a "Light Side" and "Dark Side" campaign, respectively.
Still haven't verified what I heard, however. I remember hearing about it in a YouTube video a couple years back.
