Fortnite Creative 2.0 has been delayed until March, Epic Games has confirmed.
In a post on Twitter replying to a tease about the upcoming update to the mode, Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney said that the update originally planned for January isn’t coming.
“Sorry, there will be no UEFN in January,” Sweeney said. “We’re now targeting March.”
What is Fortnite Creative 2.0?
For those unaware, Fortnite Creative is a mode that allows players to create their own games within Fortnite. The mode was originally launched in December 2018, and lets players build on their own private island either alone or with friends.
Fortnite Creative 2.0, is scheduled to bring in a new unreal editor. This will allow players to build even more detailed games within Fortnite. From new customization options to the ability to even create your own character models, Fortnite Creative 2.0 will have players designing more detailed games than they likely ever thought possible. Even NPCs will be more under your control than before.
The mode was originally planned for a release alongside the launch of Chapter 4 of Fortnite back in December. It was then pushed back to January before being delayed once again. Hopefully, for fans of the game and original Fortnite Creative, this marks the final delay before release.
