Fallout Has Won An Emmy Award For Music Supervision

Fallout is officially an Emmy Award-winning series after securing the award for Outstanding Music Supervision. Out of 16 nominations, including Outstanding Picture Editing and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, Fallout secured just one, which some feel isn’t representative of how perfectly pieced together the Amazon series is.

It Didn’t Set The World on Fire

Since airing in April 2024, the Fallout TV series has been branded one of the best live-action adaptations ever made, rivalling the likes of The Last of Us. It might seem bizarre that the series only won a single Emmy Award, given how overwhelmingly popular it was and how much of an impact it had on the game series.

The team at Kilter Films and Amazon MGM Studios picked up an award for ‘outstanding’ music, with the prize focusing specifically on The End, the opening episode of the post-apocalyptic series.

As one of the best opening episodes of a show in years, ‘The End’ perfectly portrayed the nuclear annihilation that wiped out much of the planet’s population. It showed some of the instant degradation of society in the wake of a world blitzed by atomic power, and it perfectly highlighted some of the black humour and violence present in the Fallout franchise.

And of course, it offered a masterclass in the type of music that fans of the series have come to know and love over the last 25 years.
