Everything we Know About Titanfall 3—Latest Leaks & Rumors

After years of speculation, fans believe the long-awaited Titanfall sequel is closer than ever. Here is everything you need to know about the latest Titanfall 3 leaks and rumors.

Respawn Entertainment rose to fame with Titanfall in 2014. The first-person shooter featured 6v6 matches in which players controlled Mechs called Titans. Titanfall 2 expanded on the universe in 2016 with a single-player campaign to complement the multiplayer experience that followed the story of Jack Cooper and a militia’s quest to stop a massive corporation from using a superweapon to destroy their planet.

Both titles received critical acclaim, but Titanfall 2 fell short of sales expectations. Much of that can be attributed to launching between Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Regardless, Respawn ultimately pulled the plug on the franchise. Since then, fans have pleaded for a series revival, but is that in the cards?

Is Titanfall 3 Confirmed?

No, Titanfall 3 is not officially confirmed.

An Apex Legends leaker claimed that Titanfall 3 is “almost complete,” but Giant Bomb’s Jeff Grubb shot down that report and said, “This isn’t real,” Grubb said. “I’m sorry. It’s not real.”

Grubb did allude to Respawn having a small team that is “probably messing around with games that have titans in them.”

“Does he ( Titanfall 1 director Steve Fukuda) have something like a prototype that has titans in it? I would guess so,” Grubb added. “I don’t know for sure, but I would certainly assume that that is a safe thing to think.”

“Now, is that going to get announced in 2025 and released in 2026? No way,” Grubb concluded.

This will be disappointing news for fans who had hoped that a new Titanfall game would finally happen.

Does Titanfall 3 Have a Release Date?

No, despite rumors claiming that Titanfall is “almost complete,” there is no official release date, and Grubb doesn’t believe a new game will be announced in 2025 and ready to play in 2026.

It’s difficult to tell where a new Titanfall game would fit Respawn Entertainment’s schedule because the studio has a full slate.

During a quarterly earnings call in February, EA CEO Andrew Wilson revealed, “There will be an even bigger, more meaningful update to that broader game experience and Apex 2.0, if you will. This will not be the final incarnation of Apex.”

Wilson continued, “We do believe that there should be a more major update that will probably happen after a Battlefield launch just in terms of timing.”

In that same call, EA confirmed that the plan is to launch the next Battlefield title before April 1, 2026. This means the Apex update won’t come until after that, and the game will continue to receive live support.

Respawn is also collaborating with Bit Reactor on a new turn-based tactics Star Wars game. EA also confirmed in the Investor Day presentation in September 2024 that Respawn is working on a third and final Start Wars Jedi game.

What to Expect From Titanfall 3

Before the leak was deemed untrue, fans were excited about the rumored features.

  • Unreal Engine 5
  • Singleplayer campaign
  • Live service (with Battle Passes)
  • Main mode: Extraction
  • Other modes: TDM, Control, Arenas, “all Titanfall 2 classic modes”
  • Some returning Apex characters
  • Weather system

Now that this leak has been deemed untrue, it’s unclear if any of these features will happen in the next Titanfall game. Yet, it at least gives fans an idea of what they might be able to expect from a new game.

While FPS games wait for Titanfall, there is a silver lining. Call of Duty World at War and Infinite Warfare appeared on Game Pass, indicating a potential release and Marathon is coming soon.

  • The game isn’t happening. Microsoft should buy Respawn and Titanfall from EA other IP too like BioWare’s and Visceral.
