You can argue with me if you’d like, but the ARPG genre is among the very best. It’s peak gaming, with satisfying progression loops, power fantasies, and the type of loot that reminds us of the “one more turn” meme from Civilization. But there’s not as much competition in the genre as we’d like to see, with a few major forces dominating the space. One studio is about to pull ahead of the pack once again. Here’s everything we know about Path of Exile 2!
What is Path of Exile 2?
Path of Exile 2 reportedly began as an overhaul or expansion of the original Path of Exile but quickly ballooned into an entire sequel as developer Grinding Gear Games continued adding quality-of-life improvements, new content, more character classes, and gameplay mechanics that should keep many of us playing for thousands of hours.
The game features a massive campaign spanning six full-length acts, co-op for up to six players, more than 100 unique bosses to challenge you, and the infamous passive skill tree revamped and overhauled for the new generation!
