Fortnite’s FNCS 2025 To Feature $8 Million Prize Pool

Epic Games has revealed that the FNCS 2025 roadmap will feature a massive prize pool worth $8 million. It’s the most preliminary update possible, as at present, we don’t have any idea what the competitive structure for the year ahead will look like. Now that the FNCS 2024 Global Championship has wrapped, we can start looking forward to what comes next.

Changes Galore

Epic took to social media following the closure of the FNCS 2024 season to reveal some major changes and confirmations for the 2025 season. First, the company confirmed that an $8 million prize pool will be on the line next year and that the format will accommodate Trios – not Duos.

It was also revealed that Siphon Trials are surfacing. This is the mechanic that allows users to secure more health and shields whenever they defeat an enemy. This mechanic will be deployed on a testing basis before it’s introduced to Fortnite’s competitive ecosystem.

Next season is expected to be a big hit for the Fortnite esports scene. The recent FNCS 2024 Global Championship went down as the game’s most popular event in more than five years, drawing in more than 800,000 peak concurrent viewers. It’s a solid representation of the growth of Fortnite’s esports landscape and hopefully, it’s an indication of what’s yet to come.
