EA Sports FC 25 Will Feature a Paid Season Pass

A report by VG247 reveals that EA Sports FC 25 will incorporate a paid season pass, which will net players rewards in three popular game modes: Ultimate Team, Career Mode, and Clubs. The ‘Premium Tier Pass’ will be an additional tier system for the existing free tier system.

The producer of EA Sports FC 25’s Ultimate Team mode, Karthik Venkateshan, revealed that the free tier in the new game will work similarly to what we saw in EA FC 24. “The premium pass will be something we’re adding on top,” added Venkanteshan. This season pass will be shared across their Ultimate Team, Clubs, and Career modes.

Richard Waltz, the game design director for the Ultimate team on EA FC 25, shared that players will only notice something extra in the premium tier compared to the free tier at a high rank. The premium season pass will have “no exclusive rewards that will mean that you have to do that. We’re going to be having players, packs, that sort of thing, in Clubs, customisation options”, Waltz explained.

Players will have the option to purchase the EA FC 25 Season Pass using coins or FC points. However, the price of this Premium Tier pass is not known at the moment.

At the same time, EA FC 25 is a paid flagship title that already includes microtransactions, and introducing a paid season pass might raise some concerns among the players. For instance, the Apex Legends community isn’t too happy about the new battle pass system, and they are expressing their disappointment on Steam right now.
