The United States video game sales data for September 2024 has been released, and there’s a new name at the top of the list of the best-selling games for the month. According to new data from Circana, EA Sports FC 25 was the best-selling game in the US for September.
The PlayStation 5-exclusive Astro Bot finished second.
It’s the third-straight month an EA Sports title was the best-selling game after Madden 25 topped August’s sales and College Football 25 led the way in July.
As far as other new games on the list, seven games made their debut in the top 20. Those games include Astro Bot, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, NBA 2K25, NHL 25, Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics, and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.
Four other games returned to the top 20 after being off the list, including Dead Rising, Final Fantasy 16, God of War: Ragnarök, and Age of Mythology. There were 11 games from August that fell off. Helldivers 2, Mario Kart 8, MLB: The Show 24, and Gran Turismo 7 are just a few of the games that find themselves outside the top 20 for the month.
