What Type of Special Maneuvers Can You Perform in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero

Dragon Ball Sparking Zero hits early access today, and players are wondering what’s new with the successor to the Budokai Tenkaichi series. Today’s guide will dive into Dragon Ball Sparking Zero’s Special Maneuvers that can be used to get an upper edge in the battle.

There are five types of Special Maneuvers that players can perform during battle. These include Transformations, Fusions, Switching, Sparking! Mode, and Emotes.

Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Special Maneuvers

How to Transform in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero?

Characters from the DBZ series are known for their transformations, and players can relive these transformations during intense battles in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero. Players must press ‘Up’ to transform on the D-Pad and select the desired transformation with Square/X, Triangle/Y, X/A or ⭘/B. The transformation will cost one Skill Count but will also improve your character’s stats.

How to Fuse in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero?

Fusion is a phenomenon in the Dragon Ball verse where two fighters merge into one to make a powerful fighter. Fusion in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero can only be performed when two characters that can fuse are on the team. To perform Fusion, press ‘Up’ on the D-Pad to open the Transformation menu and switch to the Fusion panel with L1/LB or R1/RB. Once fused, the two characters will be replaced by a single fused character that can’t be split again.

How to Switch in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero?

The Switch is a great system to ensure a more prolonged survival of your party in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, as it allows players to swap weaker characters with stronger teammates. During the battle, players can access the Switch Panel by pressing ‘Left’ on the D-Pad and choosing their desired character with Square/X, Triangle/Y, X/A or ⭘/B. The Switch mechanic can also be used for features like Chase Change or continuing your assault during Team Battles.

How to Enter Sparking! Mode

Sparking! Mode is the newest Special Maneuver with Dragon Ball Sparking Zero. This ability can be activated by charging your Ki Gauge to its max and further and then spending one Skill Counter to enter Sparking! Mode. While in this mode, your abilities will be enhanced, and players can take advantage of other benefits, such as shooting blasts using Ki.

Additionally, moves such as Violent Rush or Hyper Smash during Sparking! Mode can be used to perform a flurry of rush attacks or break the opponent’s guard. It can also be used for Super Movement to improve evasiveness.
