If you are playing Dragon Ball Sparking Zero right now, you must wonder how the what-if scenarios work in Episode Battles. Episode Battles is a new story-focused game mode that features iconic moments from the anime along with some never-before-seen scenarios. This Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Episode Battles will help you better understand all the branching paths for Goku in the Namek Saga.
Players should know that there are two branches: paths and alternate endings. Paths are complete changes in the timeline, with your decisions impacting future events. Alternate endings, on the other hand, are just different conclusions to existing battles of the series. Interestingly, some alternate paths also have Sparking! Episodes, which are original cutscenes created for the new moments. This guide will highlight all the branching paths and alternate endings for Goku in the Namek Saga and how to unlock them.

Burter or Jiece
The first alternate path for Goku’s Namek Saga Episode Battles in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero arrives during the ‘Arrival on Namek’ mission. Players must complete a hidden objective during this battle to unlock a new path; however, this doesn’t impact the storyline. Your choice only determines who fights with you alongside Ginyu in the next mission.
If players can deflect Jiece’s Crusher Ball during this battle, he will swap with Burter and fight you later alongside Ginyu. If you don’t deflect Jiece’s Crusher Ball in Sparking Zero, then Burter is the one that comes along with Ginyu.
To deflect Jiece’s Crusher Ball, you only need to accumulate two Skill Counts and press and hold O/B to slap his attack away.

A Hard-Earned Victory
The next alternate ending for Goku’s Namek Saga Episode Battle in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero arrives during the ‘Goku’s Back’ mission. If you can defeat Frieza without using the Spirit Bomb, a new alternate ending called ‘A Hard-Earned Victory’ will be unlocked. In this ending, Frieza is defeated without Goku ever turning Super Saiyan, and everyone survives and returns to Earth triumphantly.

It’s called the Frieza Saga I swear Bandai got that wrong!
Hey can players sue Bandai Namco? The head of marketing said Tao would be in the base game and he’s not isn’t that misrepresentation? I would think someone would sue by now or a group.
