Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Episode Battles Guide: Gohan Super Saga

Dragon Ball Sparking Zero’s Episode Battles is the new story mode for the Budokai Tenkaichi series. It includes iconic battles and moments from the anime and manga, as well as new storylines that introduce never-before-imagined moments. This Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Episode Battles guide will focus on the branching paths for Gohan in the Super Saga.

Players should know that Gohan has an alternate Episode and an alternate ending in Sparking Zero’s Episode Battles. The alternate Episode, ‘The Strongest Warrior’, features Gohan Black; you can check out the guide here. This guide will explain how to unlock the alternate ending for Gohan in the Tournament of Power/Universe Survival arc.

Fighting to Protect

This alternate Super Saga ending for Gohan in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero’s Episode Battle can be unlocked during the Astonishing Team mission, where you battle Dyspo. To trigger the alternate ending, you must defeat Dyspo quickly. The change will be observed during the battle’s ending cutscene; however, players should try to beat Dyspo down as soon as possible.

If they unlock this ending, Gohan will not have to sacrifice himself to take Dyspo down. Instead, Frieza and Gohan team up to knock Dyspo out. However, this enrages Toppo, who loses his sense of justice and awakens the power of a Destroyer God.

Toppo aims all his destructive energy at Vegeta, who then performs a very cool monologue revolving around protecting his family and pride. Gohan partners up with Vegeta while agreeing with his sentiments. Here, you have to battle Toppo in his God of Destruction form. Defeating him will unlock the final ending.

An Abrupt End

If you defeat Toppo, a new scenario will play: Vegeta and Gohan will team up to kick Toppo out of the ring. However, as soon as they manage to do so, the timer for the Tournament ends, and the battles are stopped. Universe 7 is declared the victors as they had the most fighters on the battlefield (Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Frieza and Android 17), compared to Universe 11’s Jiren.

The rest is the same: Gohan gets a pat on the back for leading the Universe 7 team to victory. The team wishes for all the Universes to be restored with the help of the Super Dragon Balls, and they all live happily ever after.
