Baldur’s Gate 3 has been one of the most well-received games in years, earning praise from every outlet since it’s August release. Now that the game is finally out on Xbox, however, many players are wondering if Baldur’s Gate 3 will be coming to Game Pass in the future.
In an interview with IGN, Larian Studios founder Swen Vincke addressed that head-on, saying that fans shouldn’t expect to see the game added to the subscription service.
“Oh, we always said from the get-go, it wasn’t going to be on Game Pass, it’s not going to be on Game Pass,” Vincke said.

“We made a big game, so I think there’s a fair price to be paid for that, and I think that that is okay. We don’t charge you any micro-transactions on top of it, so you get what you pay for. Upfront it’s a big meaty game. So I think that should be able to exist as it is. This is what allows us to continue making other games,”
Baldur’s Gate 3 is available now for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
