Details On New Valve Game ‘Deadlock’ Leaked

New details have emerged about Valve’s new game in development, including that it will officially be called Deadlock. During it’s development at Valve, the game had been known as Neon Prime and Citadel.

According to Gabe Follower on Twitter, there is a lot of new information about the game.

Deadlock will reportedly be a 6 vs 6 third-person hero shooter. The game will feature a large map with four lanes to attack that have tower defense mechanics as well as various items and abilities to utilize. Gabe Follower adds that Deadlock will have a fantasy setting “mixed with steampunk. Magicians, weird creatures and robots.”

Lastly, they say that the game will feature fast travel using floating rails “similar to Bioshock Infinite”.

As of publishing, this information has yet to be confirmed by Valve nor has it been independently verified by Insider Gaming. Because of that, take all information on Deadlock, including the name, with a grain of salt.

Insider Gaming has reached out to Valve for comment. Should a response be received, this story will be updated accordingly.

    • Why do you need Left 4 Dead 3 ? To “follow” the story from the 2 ?
You want to play Left 4 Dead, play the second, it’s still amazing.

Having L4D3 or HL3 in 2024, we ALL know that so many will hate it because it’s not perfect in every aspect.
It’s not 2012 anymore, we used to like a game because it’s fun. Now gamers are cancer and just wanted perfection even if perfection don’t exists. Pleasing gamers is just Sisyphean.

    So it’s DOTA, basically.
Not sure why they would need to make an entire new game for that.
