Delta Force’s ‘Black Hawk Down’ Campaign is Launching Next Week

Team Jade has revealed that Delta Force’s single-player campaign – ‘Black Hawk Down’ – will be released on February 21. This paid expansion of the free-to-play Delta Force label is one of the most highly anticipated portions of the new game, allowing players to ‘relive’ the events of the fateful operation that took place in October 1993 in Mogadishu, Somalia.

In a new trailer released recently, Team Jade revealed the intensity of this campaign, showcasing 30 seconds of gameplay and cinematics – and admittedly, it looks pretty fantastic.

Delta Force Goes Single-Player

Delta Force was released in December 2024 as a multiplayer shooter, allowing players worldwide to explore a few maps and modes. Since dropping, Delta Force has been incessantly compared to Battlefield, with many of the game’s core mechanics – and even the UI – representing what’s available in Battlefield 2042, the latest release in the EA-backed franchise.

The single-player portion of Delta Force is expected to turn heads owing to a semi-accurate representation of one of the most famous battles in American military history – the ‘Battle of Mogadishu’.

Here’s the most recent trailer:

The Black Hawk Down campaign isn’t free, though. This PvE, narrative-driven mode will have a price tag, but it’s a one-shot thing – beyond the initial purchase, you won’t have to pay for anything else, and it can even be played with friends. At the time of publishing, it hadn’t been confirmed how much the Delta Force campaign would cost.

Delta Force isn’t a bad game, and that’s coming from a lifelong Battlefield fan. The single-player portion looks as though it’ll be a blast, and I’m excited to dive in when it’s finally released on February 21.
