A whole army of fans still have yet to upgrade to the current-gen hardware, and I honestly don’t blame them. I mean, have you seen how much a PlayStation 5 Pro costs? It’s crazy!
Is Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Coming to PS4?
I have unfortunate news for you, oh, players of the last-gen console. You cannot play Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster on PS4, and there’s currently no chance the remaster comes to last-gen systems anytime soon, if at all. When Capcom announced the game, they did so for current-gen systems and PC but failed to mention anything about PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch.
Now that the game is out worldwide, there’s still no word. I suspect it won’t happen, but never say never!

Where to Play Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Today
If you want to play Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster right now, alongside everyone else diving into the game this month, you’ll have to pick up a copy on PC, PlayStation 5, or Xbox Series X|S. On PC, the game is exclusively available on Steam. Over on either console, you can buy a digital copy from their respective storefronts.
Furthermore, a physical release is coming, but not until early November. If you’d rather have physical media to complete your collection—and I don’t blame you one bit—you can score a copy on November 8.
Is Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Worth Playing?
I’ve clocked in about forty hours playing Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, and I must say, while there are a few issues with the game—namely, how easy the overall experience feels—the whole package is worthwhile. It’s an entertaining, straightforward game. You reprise your role as Frank West—photojournalist and 1950s refrigerator look-a-alike—in the hunt to uncover the cause behind the Willamette Mall zombie disaster. You’ll slay countless zombies—tens of thousands of them for Zombie Annihilator—and wear all manner of whacky clothing. It’s just pure, unadulterated fun!
