Danil ‘donk’ Kryshkovets has been tearing up the Counter-Strike 2 esports scene for a few months, despite being just seventeen years old. The Russian superstar has been turning heads for a while now, but recently, he took things to the next level, breaking the CS2 single-map kill record while playing in the ESL Pro League against Wildcard.
Huge Numbers
In a series that could have gone either way, Donk found himself clutching up big time while flying the Team Spirit banner against Wildcard. It was a close enough finish with a scoreline of 13 – 11, but that game length only aided Donk in netting a whopping 38 kills on Ancient.
He pulled off 11 multi-kills and dominated almost every round – even the ones that Spirit was unfortunate enough to lose. This means that Donk is now in the number-one spot on the leaderboard, sitting one kill ahead of Lucas ‘Lucaozy’ Neves, who landed 37 kills in an online series against paiN.
It gets better, though.
Donk is now one of just two players to sit in the top-ten after landing this achievement in a LAN environment, and he’s the only player in the world to appear in the top-ten list twice. Against The Chosen Few (online), Donk was able to net 35 kills in one map.
It was one hell of a series, and Donk was able to rack up an overall KD of 75 – 29 while also securing an ADR of 131.3. This is why there are expectations that he’ll be crowned the top Counter-Strike player of the year.
What do you think? Was this a lucky series or does Donk have it where it counts?
