Remedy Entertainment has revealed that Control 2 entered full production in February 2025.
Remedy Entertainment revealed its financial results today and discussed Control 2’s production status. The developers said the game is “finalizing the production readiness stage ” and entered full production in February of this year after the fourth quarter of last year. They have “verified the velocity of asset creation, established production pipelines, and are ready for scaling up for full production.”
Apart from Control 2, the Max Payne 1 and 2 remakes are also in full production, making “steady progress.” Remedy stated that, along with the publisher, Rockstar Games, their progress is “heading towards key development objectives.” Moreover, FBC: Firebreak, the developer’s first multiplayer title, is also in full production. The developers recently tested match-making and other technical components during a closed technical test. They plan to self-publish the game in 2025.
Furthermore, Remedy stated that they took over “Control-related publishing operations and community management handled by 505 Games” in the second half of 2024. They are preparing for their 30th anniversary in 2025, which will be “their biggest year as a developer and publisher yet.”
In other news, Alan Wake 2 is finally profitable after selling over 2 million copies. Also, the developer partnered with Annapurna to bring Control and Alan Wake to film and television.
