Content Warning Gets Last Patch ‘For a While,’ Devs Planning New Ports

In a new post on X today, Landfall broke down the new Content Warning patch, and confirmed plans for future updates and ports for new platforms.

The latest patch for Content Warning is now live, introducing a range of bug fixes and quality-of-life changes. However, the devs say it will be “the last patch for a while.”

Landfall explains that Content Warning creatives have “prior commitments to another project they’ve been working on with another team since 2021.” The nature of that project is currently unclear, but mentioning 2021 does give fans an idea of the development timeline.

Today’s post also finally confirms Landfall’s interest in pursuing new Content Warning ports. The devs stated they are already “looking into getting the game onto other platforms.” There is no mention of exactly which platforms players should expect.

Landfall added that it will update fans about those ports, as well as the future of the game, “before the end of the year.”

Content Warning first launched in April 2024 and quickly became an indie darling. It still maintains ‘Very Positive’ Steam reviews.

Just a couple of months later in June 2024, Landfall revealed that Content Warning reached 2.2 million copies sold. In that same announcement, Landfall also teased the potential of console ports for Content Warning. However, it did not confirm it was actively looking into them just yet.

The latest Content Warning patch adds a new sketch pad, language options, additional LODs for performance, and more.
