CDL Championship 2025 To Be Held in Kitchener From June 26 – 29

Toronto Ultra has just revealed that this year’s Call of Duty League Championship will take place in Kitchener, Ontario, from June 26 to 29. The event is scheduled to unfold at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium, which has hosted some sizeable esports events in Kitchener, which is located around 100km from Toronto.

In a press release, the Toronto Ultra team revealed that the venue will arrange a 360-degree centre-stage setup for the first time in Canadian esports history, which offers unparalleled immersion for fans.

Not Toronto, But Close

The running rumour for the longest time was that this year’s Call of Duty League Championship would be held in Toronto, but Kitchener is damn close. It’s around 100km outside of Toronto, which might make travel a little tricky for those flying in across borders.

In the press release published by OverActive Media, the parent company of Toronto Ultra, the announcement was celebrated:

Bringing the Call of Duty League Championship to Canada is a defining moment for OverActive Media. As Canadian businesses are looking for new ways to drive economic growth, this event will bring significant tourism, business, and commercial opportunities to the region. We are proud to host a world-class event that highlights Canada’s role as a major player in the global esports industry.

Earlier this year, OverActive Media hosted the Call of Duty League’s Major I tournament in Madrid, the first European Major in CDL history. It was a huge success, with strong numbers being reported across the board and the social sentiment being more positive than ever – fans loved the Madrid Major.

I was in attendance, and every player I spoke to, including OpTic Texas’ Shotzzy and Huke, had strong things to say about the EU crowd.

Tickets are on sale now for the CDL Championship 2025 event – you’ve got three months to square things away if you play to attend the biggest Call of Duty esports event in the business.
