Capcom Reveals 3 New Monster Hunter Wilds Gameplay Trailers

On the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel, Capcom shadowdropped three brand-new Monster Hunter Wilds gameplay trailers today.

The trailers concentrate on basic mechanics, the signature Great Sword, and the new Focus Mode. It also showcases some of the monsters and environments players will encounter.

Although longtime fans may recognize some mechanics in these trailers, they also show new features coming to Monster Hunter Wilds. Besides Focus Mode, that includes a breakdown of the Seikret and its mount system.

Today’s trailers reveal that Focus Mode allows players to use their camera to aim both their attacks and guards. Focus Mode will also highlight weak points, and any wounds inflicted on monsters. Players can use the mode to deal extra damage to those wounds.

Though previous trailers and promos revealed some Seikret features, the new trailer showcases some neat additions. The Seikret can guide players to their target monster during quests.

Players can also continue to perform essential actions as they would on foot, like healing or gathering. The hook slinger is also allowed while riding around on the Seikret. Further, the mount gives players the ability to “switch between a primary and secondary weapon.”

The Great Sword trailer may not introduce much for existing fans, but it does offer another look at upcoming monsters. Each of Capcom’s new overview trailers feature in-game action.

Capcom first announced Monster Hunter Wilds with a trailer at Summer Game Fest 2024. It still has a broad release window of 2025.

  • I would rather get more Palworld DLC than this honestly why do people like this game? It looks like a 360 game.
