Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Was The Best-Selling Game Of 2024

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 was the best-selling game of 2024 in the United States. The news was announced on January 23 by Circana’s Mat Piscatella.

Black Ops 6 took over the top sport that had long-been held by EA Sports College Football 25 since its launch in December. With Black Ops 6 releasing at the end of October, that means it took just over two months for the latest from Activision to reach the top spot.

College Football 25 moved to second on the list while Helldivers 2 remained at third. Rounding out the top five for 2024 were Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero and NBA 2K25.

Elsewhere on the list were five other sports games, including Madden NFL 25, EA Sports FC 25, WWE 2K24, MLB: The Show 24, and NBA 2K24. What also stands out is the fact that of the top 20 best-selling games of the year, seven weren’t released in 2024. Minecraft and Grand Theft Auto, games well over a decade old, remain steadily in the top 20 in the United States.

You can check out the full list of the best-selling games of 2024, below. If you just want December’s best-selling games, that data was also revealed.
