Battlestate Games is ten years old and is celebrating that milestone with a sale on Escape from Tarkov and some free in-game items. However, many players were disappointed to learn that the free items are only applicable to those playing PvP, which effectively snubs the PvE community.
In recent months, the sentiment around Tarkov’s PvE ecosystem has blossomed, with many using the mode as an escape from the ‘cheater plague’ that has been running rampant in the game for years.
You Get Nothing
To celebrate its tenth anniversary, Battlestate Games has applied a 25% discount on all editions and upgrades for Escape from Tarkov. The drawback here is that the items are reserved exclusively for those playing PvP. It’s a slap in the face to anyone who has purchased PvE separately or upgraded to The Unheard Edition just to get access to the mode, which is becoming increasingly popular.
For a while, it was stigmatised, but more people are realising it’s much more entertaining to dominate Tarkov without worrying about malicious operators.
Many have suggested it’s Battlestate Games’ attempt to shoehorn players back into the world of PvP.
