Black Ops 6 & Warzone Season 2 Reloaded Release Date—Expected Start Time, New Maps, Perks, Modes, and Attachments

Black Ops 6 & Warzone Season 2 Reloaded could be important, which is why its start date is big. The midseason content top-up could jumpstart the waning shooters, and keep Call of Duty strong as we approach future seasonal updates.

You can’t dispute the Black Ops 6 launch as its performance was the stuff of dreams. Black Ops 6 went on to be December’s best-selling game, as well as 2024’s best-selling software in general. Since then, the shooter, as well as Warzone, has ventured down a bumpier road, losing many players.

Hacking issues have plagued Black Ops 6 and Warzone, leading to crossplay being disabled in Ranked. The Season 2 update brought many players back as expected, but the drop-off soon set in. Let’s see what Season 2 Reloaded has in store this time around.

Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 2 Reloaded is expected to get underway on Thursday, February 20—based on the Season Pass end date and usual seasonal timing conventions.

As of writing, there’s a week until Season 2 Reloaded gets underway. So you’ve still got plenty of time to enjoy Call of Duty in its current state until more gameplay possibilities are injected into Black Ops 6 and Warzone.

Black Ops 6 & Warzone Season 2 Reloaded Possible Start Time

We expect Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 2 Reloaded to start around 9 AM PT / 11 PM CT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM GMT.

Again, this is a logical assumption based on previous seasons. Unexpected maintenance can affect proceedings. I don’t think anyone saw PSN going down to affect the PS5 Call of Duty servers, for instance.

If anything changes in this regard, we’ll update this handy hub guide.

The Season 2 Roadmap tells us the Reloaded update is adding new maps, game modes, Perks, and big Zombies changes.

New Maps

We’ve known for some time Black Ops 2’s classic Grind map is making a return. Additionally, Bullet (a new smaller map) is also coming to flesh out the multiplayer maps. Treyarch might end up dropping a surprise map to spice things up too.

We know Verdansk is returning to Warzone in 2025, but Season 2 might still be too early. Look out for the legendary battle royale map possibly dropping in Season 3.

New Perks

Black Ops 6 is getting the Hunter’s Instinct Perk which helps you “track down your next target,” and Warzone players can utilize Low Profile—helping “your movement speed when crouched, prone, and downed.”

New Wildcard

Black Ops 6 gets a single new Wildcard courtesy of Flyswatter. The word usually appears when you bring down an aerial Scorestreak. However, it now means you can “replace your Dedicated Melee slot with a Launcher.”

The Tomb Zombies Update

There’s one small chance for Zombies we know of, and it’s a dedicated Directed Mode for The Tomb. If you’re struggling to complete the main quest, Directed Mode shows you the way.

But if you want to solve it yourself, we still have an extensive The Tomb Main Quest Easter Egg walkthrough to help you in CoD Zombies.

New Weapons & Events

Thanks to X page Detonated, we know of a few interesting bits of content coming to Season 2 Reloaded. It’s only a rumor, but ‘sl_p35_blauncher’ has been found in Black Ops 6’s game files. This suggests it could be the amazing Ballistic Knife or something else entirely.

A Katana has also been outed, along with other leaked armaments.

Detonated also thinks a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Event is on the way, as indicated by their post! Take this all with a pinch of salt for now.

Black Ops 6 and Warzone 2’s community isn’t as extensive as it was. Do you think Season 2 Reloaded can give the CoD player base a necessary kick up the backside? Or is Call of Duty in trouble? Let us know what you think.

Check out the latest Call of Duty news including the OG Modern Warfare 2 possibly moving to Game Pass, and the story of EA nearly owning the CoD franchise.
