Through a post on their official X account, Larian Studios has announced that the Patch 7 closed beta for Baldur’s Gate 3 has been delayed. The developers explained that the “passive dice rolls literally stopped working” while they were fixing other bugs. They are currently trying to resolve the issue, which is why the closed beta has been pushed to “later this week.” Conversely, the delay allows more players to sign up for the closed beta.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 7 Highlights
While waiting for the Baldur’s Gate 3 patch seven closed beta, players can check out some of the highlights for this update:
- Evil Endings: The new patch will feature ‘Evil Endings’, new cinematic endings for “truly villainous playthroughs”.
- Mod Manager: The developers will add official mod support, allowing players to browse, install, and use mods created by the community.
- Dynamic Split-Screen Lastly, the split-screen gameplay has been revamped to merge when characters come close and split when they go far apart.
Baldur’s Gate 3 patch 7 will also feature improvements in Honour Mode Combat, UI, Art, Gameplay, Animation, Writing and Flow, Scripting, Performance, and Cinematics. Interestingly, many details have been blacked out in the Writing and Flow, Scripting, and Cinematics sections, increasing the intrigue of the players.
