Microsoft may have some big game surprises up its sleeve for the Xbox Games Showcase on Sunday, June 11. If a new report is to be believed, two of those might be in the form of Avowed and Fable making an appearance at the Xbox Games Showcase.
According to Gamereactor, both games will show up during the show and it won’t be what fans have been used to seeing.
“Four sources I’ve spoken with have confirmed that both Avowed and Fable will be shown at the Xbox Games Showcase,” the report’s writer Eirik Hyldbakk Furu said. “These new trailers will as promised not be CG like the ones used to announce the games, but instead give us an indication of what they’ll actually look and play like.”
Announced back in 2020, the latest Fable game hasn’t received much in the form of updates. The game is being developed by Playground Games, the studio behind the Forza Horizon series. It was also reported last year that Eidos-Montreal was helping with the development.
Also announced in 2020, Avowed is Obsidian’s next major IP. The upcoming RPG takes place in the same universe as Pillars of Eternity in the world of Eora.
Insider Gaming has yet to independently confirm the validity of the report so, please, take it with a grain of salt for now.
