Astro Bot is the upcoming platforming adventure by Asobi Studios, which lets you experience a new journey featuring the PlayStation’s beloved mascot. Players have been hyped up about the game since it was announced a month ago.
With the amount of content we have seen in the announcement trailer, many have been curious about the game length for Astro Bot, and the developers have finally answered our questions.
During an interview with French YouTuber Julien Chièze, Nicolas Doucet, the director of Team Asobi, answered several questions about Astro Bot, including its game length. Doucet revealed that the game is around 12-15 hours long, with some players able to spend even more time collecting characters across all planets.
Doucet expands, stating that Team Asobi never said to themselves that they would make a game that would be 20 to 30 hours long. Doucet states that with Astro Bot, they wished to keep the tempo the same for the entire experience, preserving the same level of quality for each level rather than adding repetitive or filler content to make the experience longer.
So there you have it: Astro Bot’s game length has been between 12 and 15 hours.
Players can expect a plethora of content in those 12-15 hours as the developers plan to add new gameplay elements and other additions as the journey goes on. Players can explore more than 50 planets on the back of a DualSense rocket ship. There are more than 150 iconic PlayStation heroes to collect and a roster of enemies and giant bosses to take down. Astro Bot arrives on September 6, 2024, exclusively for the PlayStation 5.
