Astro Bot Controller Pre-Orders Live Now, But They’re Selling Fast

The Astro Bot controller for PS5 is available to pre-order at Amazon, Walmart, PlayStation, and Best Buy, but they’re almost sold out universally. This adorable, on-theme peripheral was revealed a couple of weeks ago. On September 6, it’ll be released alongside Astro Bot, the full-fledged, semi-open-world game featuring PlayStation’s cute robot mascot with a price tag of just $79.99.

Already Gone

As one of the most innovative and limited edition PS5 controllers ever made, the Astro Bot controller is understandably selling out worldwide despite not being available for almost a month. On the trackpad of this controller, PlayStation has integrated a set of animated eyes that blink and emote as you play games.

It’s a charming white and blue model with stunning colours, laser-etched markings, and all the bells and whistles of a typical Dualsense controller. Even at just face value, it’s one of the nicest special edition controllers I’ve ever seen, and I’m disappointed they’re proving to be so hard to come by – but that’s limited edition for you.

If you want to get your hands on one, you might have to wait until it’s on the market and hopefully snag one at retail or pick one up from a scalper. It’s the way of the world.
