After two years of waiting, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla finally gets Steam Achievements. The change comes following Ubisoft’s recent announcement that its games will return to Steam on Day 1.
The update hit Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s SteamDB page last night, leading many to speculate about what could be the next Ubisoft game to receive Steam Achievements.
The recent change is yet another piece of information for the Assassin’s Creed franchise in recent weeks. Earlier this month, Ubisoft announced an Assassin’s Creed Shadows delay, pushing the game back from its scheduled October release date to February 2025. In addition, we also reported a slew of Assassin’s Creed news, including that the Black Flag Remake is likely closer to release than you think.
Earlier this month, we also reported that Assassin’s Creed Shadows will get a co-op mode post-launch.
All the information comes following a tough time for Ubisoft, including rumors that the company is considering a buyout with Tencent. While just a rumor, Ubisoft acknowledged the report, stating that “Ubisoft has noted recent press speculation regarding potential interests around the Company. It regularly reviews all its strategic options in the interest of its stakeholders and will inform the market if and when appropriate.”
