Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed Red will officially become Assassin’s Creed Shadows. It will also get its first cinematic trailer on Wednesday, May 15 at Noon ET/9 am PT.
Insider Gaming recently reported that the full gameplay reveal at Ubisoft Forward in June with hands-on opportunities at Summer Games Fest. Ubisoft Forward is set to take place on June 10 with an embargo on the game preview lifting on June 12.
As far as what to expect from the latest game in the Assassin’s Creed series, Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be set in ancient Japan, as first reported by Insider Gaming. It’s also expected that the game’s protagonist will be based on the the real-life African Samurai named Yasuke.
As far as an official release date, it’s planned for fall 2024 though no set date has been announced as of writing. It’s currently unknown if a release date will be a part of the premiere trailer from Ubisoft on May 15.
