Armored Core 6 Fires of Rubicon Hits 3 Million Copies Sold Worldwide

In a loosely translated post on X today, FromSoftware confirmed that Armored Core 6 Fires of Rubicon has officially sold 3 million copies worldwide.

FromSoftware simply thanked all of the fans who played the game since launch. Armored Core 6 Fires of Rubicon first released just under a year ago in August 2023.

Since then, it continued to earn ‘Very Positive’ reviews on Steam and strong scores on Metacritic. It currently holds an impressive 8.0 user score on the latter.

Armored Core 6 just got another Ranked Match Season Update on July 19, with another scheduled for September 2024. The latest major patch was Update 1.06 in February 2024, fixing up bugs and addressing some balancing issues.

However, fans continue to request new DLC for the hit game. Earlier this month, FromSoftware did appear to be hiring for Armored Core 6 content. The job listing requested experience with character modeling and textures for robots in particular.

Although Armored Core 6 has now reached 3 million copies sold, FromSoftware still hasn’t officially announced any new DLC.

Most recently, FromSoftware expressed interest in co-op gameplay for future titles. Publisher Bandai Namco also just announced its lineup for Gamescom 2024.

Armored Core 6 Fires of Rubicon is available now on PC, and current or last-gen consoles for PlayStation and Xbox fans.
