Arena Breakout: Infinite is getting a new, action-packed season dubbed ‘Ignition’. It has been more than four months since the game hit the market, emerging as one of the best free-to-play extraction shooters around. There’s a dense roadmap in place for Ignition, which introduces a new map, four new bosses, six weapons, and stacks of quality-of-life improvements.
If you’re still playing Arena Breakout: Infinite, you’ll want to watch this space.
Ignition Incoming
Morefun Studios has revealed the impending launch of the next season of the popular extraction shooter, Arena Breakout: Infinite. It’s set to be released at the end of April, and as the developer has promised, it will deliver:
… new modes, content, and major improvements that will spark the passion, tension, and thrill in an all-new season of shooting and looting tactical excitement.
From April 10 to April 14, content creators and media will have an early look at the content, so expect previews to surface around then.
The gem of the update and new season will be Northridge, an all-new map set in a mountainous region with a large hotel as the central, strategic point of interest. This map introduces dynamic weapon effects and a range of environments that accommodate all play styles.
Players with lower confidence will be able to lean on Secure Ops with the Ingition update. This is a new map that will allow players to retain some of their critical equipment when they die, which is a much lower risk experience for players perhaps a little newer to the game.
The new modes coming to Arena Breakout: Infinite are session-based multiplayer modes – Team Deathmatch and Team Elimination. Also, a new ‘Solo Mode’ is coming to Arena Breakout: Infinite with this new update. It’ll be introduced as an LTM for testing purposes, but if it’s a success, it could be permanently integrated.
The new weapons coming to Arena Breakout: Infinite with this update are:
- AK12
- SVTU
- MCX
- M45A1
- G17
- F57
Morefun has also prepared some major gameplay improvements in ABI:
- All base maps now feature additional searchable containers and a certain number of safes to enrich the looting dynamics.
- Additional extraction points have been added to some maps, and the conditions for extraction have been relaxed to facilitate a smoother exit strategy.
- Balancing adjustments have been made to thrown objects and firearms, as well as quick draw mechanics for pistols, increasing the speed of switching from the primary weapon to a pistol.
