Activision held its CODNext event on Wednesday afternoon, giving players the full reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone. For Warzone, specifically, the new map Area 99 was revealed for the first time ahead of its debut later this year along with new features for the mode.

Area 99 And New Warzone Features
Area 99 is the new Resurgence Map in Warzone that is based on the history of Nuketown. Nuketown, of course, is the classic multiplayer map that debuted in the original Black Ops in 2010.

Aside from the new map, Warzone will get a number of new features later this year. Those features start with the addition of Onmimovement with Season 1.

Other things to know about the mode this year are the lack of backpacks, tactical sprint being available when wielding knives, wildcards such as Gunfighter and Overkill, and the removal of the Guardian and Mosquito Drone.
Regarding perks, there’s a new perk system for players that features a new “Pick 3” perk with 18 perks in total. There will also be six available in ground loot with season 1. Those six perks include:
- Veteran
- Dexterity
- Tracker
- Cold Blooded
- Tempered
- Alertness
- Specialist
It was also confirmed that, starting with Season 1, players will be able to use weapons from Black Ops 6, Modern Warfare 3, and Modern Warfare 2 in Warzone.
