The Black Ops 6 servers are the key to playing online multiplayer. If they are down, it means you’re left to sit around twiddling your twitchy thumbs until they’re back up—so we’ve put together all the information we know about the Black Ops 6 servers and if they’re down.
Server status issues are the bane of anyone’s existence who enjoys online multiplayer. Call of Duty is one of the most popular online multiplayer titles in the world, and Black Ops 6 is the latest installment in the long-running franchise. While the Campaign and Zombies are great attractions and worth the price of admission alone, multiplayer is the epicenter of the package.
Black Ops 6 multiplayer has a ton of Treyarch trademarks, but another trait it possesses is the inconsistency of online servers; the virtual connection between your platform and the rest of the world. So let’s get stuck into the BLOPS 6 servers and get the latest update on their status.
Black Ops 6 Server Status
The Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 servers are currently online—as of Oct. 28—and this information is confirmed by Activision itself.
On the official Activision Support page, under “Online Sevices,” Black Ops 6 is advertised as “All platforms — Online.” Simply meaning, Black Ops 6 is experiencing no online connectivity or server issues across any of its available platforms: PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
This is liable to change at any given moment, so we are constantly monitoring the status of the BLOPS 6 servers, and I encourage you to check back in case this changes. There’s nothing worse than being multiple kills into an awesome Scorestreak, only to have the CoD servers go into Last Stand.
How to Check Black Ops 6 Server Status
There are three main ways to check the Black Ops 6 server status: Activision Support’s Online Services page, Downdetector’s Call of Duty site, and the Call of Duty Updates X link.
Activision Support
I already outlined this method above, but it doesn’t hurt to double down and implant this in your brain. This is Activision’s official page for all things to do with Call of Duty’s servers—Black Ops 6 in this case. The developer can see the numbers (not just Mason) and can provide accurate reports of the shooter’s servers.
Downdetector
Whereas Activision gives updates at their choosing, Downdetector uses real people and everyday folks like me to provide updates on servers. The Downdetector Call of Duty page is mainly geared toward CoD in general—rather than Black Ops 6—but real-time reviews and comments might better reflect the state of the servers.
CoD Updates
Your final go-to source is X’s CoD Updates page. It describes itself as “The official source of Call Of Duty updates regarding live-game issues, fixes, patch notes, and more.” So, you know it’s a reputable well of knowledge you can dip into.
How to Fix Black Ops 6 Connectivity Issues
Restarting your game, resetting your router, and checking your platform’s connection are all easy ways to fix connectivity issues in Black Ops 6.
You can try any number of different methods to see if your connectivity issues are the result of your environment—rather than Activision’s infrastructure—and I’ve covered many of them before in our guide to fixing Black Ops 6 Packet Burst.
However, here’s a few tried and tested ways to monitor changes on your end:
- Reset Black Ops 6: Close down Black Ops 6 so you’re back at your platform’s home menu screen, go over to the BLOPS 6 icon, press on it, start up the FPS again, and see if everything is now A-OK.
- Check your router: Your router might’ve fallen over, your cat could’ve knocked a cable loose, or a ghost decided to mess with you. Hyperbole aside, if your router is not displaying as it should, I’d recommend giving it a quick hard reset.
- Analyze the internal network connection: Using my PS5 as an example, the console has a setting allowing me to check the console’s connection, and usually, it’s good. But this might be a way for you to ascertain the problem, and rectify it.
