Amouranth, whose real name is Kaitlyn Siragusa, revealed last night on social media that she’d been robbed at gunpoint by thieves trying to claim her crypto fortune. In a desperate plea for help, Amouranth posted, ‘I’m being too robbed at gunpont’ as the purported bandits pistol-whipped her in a bid to steal what she had previously reported is $20 million in Bitcoin.
On X, Amouranth explained how she believes she ‘shot one of them’ after they entered her home and pulled her out of bed.
‘I’m Covered in Blood’
On social media, Amouranth cried out for help as thieves allegedly bundled into her home in Texas. She urged her followers to recognise that it wasn’t a prank, shortly after posting a series of messages explaining the situation:
I believe I shot one of them they wanted crypto is what they were yelling they pulled me out of bed.
This was a home invasion swat here now I’m safe.
I’m covered in blood but only some of it is mine I’ll update yall later but I’m safe now.
Was at gun point they gave me phone and said log in with gun to my head and I tweeted because calling would be a death sentence.
Amouranth then shared a video of multiple emergency vehicles outside her gated home in Texas, claiming that they were all there to assist – but she didn’t confirm if they caught the alleged perpetrators.
I’m being too robbed at gunpont
In the comments under these posts, Amouranth received mixed messages, from fans pouring out their consideration to haters claiming it’s all just a fairytale story made up for clout and clicks.
Amouranth has long been a controversial figure in the streaming space. It was a couple of years ago that a huge debacle uncovered a ‘secret husband’ who was reportedly forcing her to engage in sexual and suggestive content practices to generate an income, but since then, the stories have come thick and fast.
She has been banned numerous times on Twitch and YouTube over the years, too. Her content often pushes the envelope when it comes to what’s permitted by the rulebook.
In the hours that have passed since the alleged attack took place, Amouranth hasn’t made any further posts but is believed to be safe.
