A slew of roster moves have been made amongst the teams competing in the highest tier of competitive VALORANT. The time for trials and experimentation during Kickoff is over now that Stage One of VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 is about to begin.
The teams that qualified for Masters Bangkok have a leg up on their regional opponents, especially the teams that made a deep run like eventual winners T1. But the imminent start of Stage One means that the time to win has arrived for the 48 teams vying for the chance to compete at Champions 2025 in Paris.
Here’s a breakdown of all the roster moves made by VALORANT the teams competing in the 2025 VCT international leagues prior to the start of Stage One.
Americas
- NRG has benched Andrew “Verno” Maust and coach Malkolm “bonkar” Rench. In their place, NRG signed former Shopify Rebellion player Brock “brawk” Somerhalder and former 100 Thieves coach Michael “Mikes” Hockom.
- MIBR has benched Agustin “Nozwerr” Ibarra.
- Leviatán has benched Nathan “nataNk” Bocqueho. In their place, Leviatán signed former Cloud9 player Daniel “Rossy” Abedrabbo.
- FURIA has benched Leonardo “mwzera” Serrati. In their place, FURIA signed Luis “pryze” Henrique from 2GAME Esports.
VCT Americas Stage One begins on March 21st.
EMEA
- Vitality has benched Nikita “trexx” Cherednichenko. In their place, Vitality signed former Mandatory player Clément “CyvOph” Millard. Vitality also signed Ștefan “Sayonara” Mîtcu, but he will continue to play for Challengers team DVM on loan.
- Liquid has released Maks “kamyk” Rychlewski.
- Fnatic has benched coach Chris “Elmapuddy” Tebbit. Fnatic has promoted Milan “Milan” Meij to head coach, and signed former BBL analyst Benjamin “Scuttt” Hutchinson as an assistant coach. Assistant coach Erik “Erik” Sandgren (formerly known as d00mbros) has been temporarily benched due to medical issues.
VCT EMEA Stage One begins on March 26th.
Pacific
- Gen.G has released Chae “yoman” Young-mun. In their place, Gen.G promoted Ha “Ash” Hyun-cheol from Gen.G Global Academy.
- TALON has released Joseph “ban” Oh and Peter “Governor” No. In their place, TALON promoted Anupong “thyy” Preamsak from Talon Academy, and signed former FULL SENSE player Tanate “killua” Teerasawad.
- Paper Rex has signed Patrick “PatMen” Mendoza.
- ZETA DIVISION has released coach Ivan “Johnta” Shevtsov. In their place, ZETA DIVISON promoted assistant coach Hibiki “XQQ” Motoyama to head coach.
VCT Pacific Stage One begins on March 22st.
China
- EDward Gaming has promoted Zhang “Jiene7” Juntai to main roster.
- Dragon Ranger Gaming has released Chen “TvirusLuke” Chen-ching, and signed Wang “Ying” Chenxu and Fang “baize” Bai. Former FPX coach Chen “TvirusLuke” Chen-ching has joined as head coach, and former head coach Huang “LT” Biaohong has returned to the assistant coach role.
- FPX has signed Yang “Shr1mp” Yong to replace the retiring Chang “BerLIN” Polin.
- XLG has released assistant coach Victor “ANXiOS” Troshkin and analyst He “snowave” Yujie.
- JD Gaming has released Chen “YHchen” Yu-han.
- TYLOO has released Yang “Eren” Cengwei. In their place, TYLOO signed Xu “Waituu” Yinze.
- Titan Esports Club has signed Ding “Coco” Dajian and former Dragon Ranger player Chen “TvirusLuke” Chen-ching.
- All Gamers has signed former Trace player Cui “cxyy” Xinyu, Huang “Hanche” Jingxuan, and Zeyang “Bai” Zhang. All Gamers released Jiang “Bunt” He.
VCT China Stage One begins on March 13th.
