Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Fighter Types
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero boasts a diverse roster of over 180 characters, each falling into one of seven unique fighter types: Strength, Speed, Ki-Blast, Giants, Androids, Grounded, and Sword. This variety ensures that every player can find a fighter that suits their preferred playstyle, adding an exciting layer of strategy to the game.
Strength
Strength characters are the game’s heavy hitters, and their movements revolve around heavy strikes and powerful Blasts. These characters lack speed but more than makeup for it in terms of their strength. There are two types of Strength characters; one category is more melee-focused, whereas the other has superior Blast attacks. Characters like Broly, Jiren and more fall in the Strength Category of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero.
Speed
Unlike others, the next category is the opposite of the Strength type, as these fighters can zoom around the map. These fighters might lack the strength for individual strikes but have enough stamina and speed to unleash a flurry of long-lasting assaults. Speed-type characters are also suitable for evasion and rushing to enemy players. Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Fighters like Kakunsa, Dyspo, Hit and more from the Speed type.
Ki-Blast
This category explains itself, and these fighters are known for releasing a barrage of small Ki-Blasts or a destructive beam against these opponents. However, being from the Ki-Blast type doesn’t mean they are limited, as they can get up close and personal, too. Fighters like Vegeta, Goku and Frieza fall in the Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Ki-Blast category.
Giant
Giants are characters that will boast a humongous size on the battlefield. These characters will simultaneously be super slow but powerful, capable of staggering and blowing enemies away with their attacks. At the same time, these fighters are indifferent to blast attacks and lighter melee attacks. Great Ape characters and other Giants like Anilaza fall in this Dragon Ball Sparking Zero category.

Androids
Fans of the series and previous games will be well-versed in this fighter type. Androids are known not to have Ki; however, their Ki gauge charges itself over time. At the same time, they do not lose stamina, so Rush combos are your friend. Some Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Android fighters can also absorb Ki Blasts and Blast attacks, such as Android 19 and Dr. Gero. Android 13, 16, 17 and 18 charges Ki automatically over time.
Ground Characters
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is known for its flashy fights across grand stages. However, some fighters in the game cannot fly at all. These include Master Roshi, Hercule, and more. Even if they cannot fly, these are the only characters that can run on the ground and have a jump ability that allows them some air time.
Sword Characters
Some characters in the original series are known for their sword skills, and these fighters will adopt swords in their play style in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero. Characters like Future Trunks will be able to perform many combos, rush attacks, and blasts while wielding a sword and will also recreate their popular moves from the series.
Other Unique Details for Fighters in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero
Super Aura
This is a more visual characteristic for certain Dragon Ball Sparking Zero fighters. Certain fighters in their strongest form will have an always-on aura. Their Ki will provide a visual representation of their power overflowing. These include but are not limited to Goku and Vegeta’s Super Saiyan God, as well as Blue transformations.
Scouter
Certain fighters from the Frieza Force can equip Scouters as an accessory in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero. This accessory will offer players a boosted search radius, which can be increased depending on Scouter quality. However, remember that the Scouter can be destroyed if you take too many hits in the battle. This includes characters like Bardock, Nappa, Ginyu and more.
