A New Astro Bot DualSense Controller Announced For PS5

Sony has announced that Astro Bot is getting its own custom DualSense controller for the PlayStation 5 (PS5), and it looks incredible.

“Today, it is an immense pleasure to announce that you will be able to charge into Astro’s new supersized adventure along with the cool new DualSense wireless controller – Astro Bot Limited Edition,” Team Asobi studio head Nicolas Doucet said.

The new Astro Bot DualSense controller features the blue and white color of Astro Bot along with “carved-in, sci-fi lines” throughout. The biggest aesthetic feature, however, are Astro Bot’s eyes right in the middle of the touch pad.

“It is a true work of art, and we could not be happier with the end-result at Team Asobi,” Doucet said.

The new controller will be available for pre-order starting Friday, August 9 in the US and UK. It will also be available in other countries throughout Europe.

If you decide not to pre-order, the controller will be available starting September 6, the same day as the game’s launch, in “limited quantities” for $79.99.
