How Long To Beat MOUSE: PI For Hire? Game Length & Total Hours, Explained

First-person shooters sometimes get a bad rep for not being long enough. MOUSE: PI For Hire is a fully fledged single-player campaign with side content and collectibles, so let’s see if it’s worth your time and money.

I can tell you first-hand that MOUSE is tremendous and I stated as much in my MOUSE: PI For Hire review for Insider Gaming. Fumi Games took a gamble on the shooter by trying to make it different from everyone else. It’s been well-received, but is there enough content to make the purchase worth it? Is the question.

How Many Hours To Beat MOUSE: PI For Hire?

My MOUSE: PI For Hire playtime officially clocked in at 14 hours for my first playthrough, and you should easily be looking at anywhere between 10-20 hours for a first go.

Mouse has a LOT of levels, some of which are long. You travel from objective to objective, and sometimes there’s also an exit sequence or final boss at the end to prolong the gameplay, and even artificially do so by sending Jack to a cheesy death or two.

Throw in frequent visits to Mouseburg—the game’s hub area—and a playthrough will go well past the 10-hour mark.

How Long Is A MOUSE: PI For Hire Full Completionist Run?

If you collect everything, complete all side missions, beat the main mini-game, and even go after MOUSE: PI For Hire trophies and achievements, you will be looking at closer to 25 hours to fully beat MOUSE.

The basic edition of MOUSE costs $29.99 / £24.99. Given that there are $60-80 AAA titles with single-player shooter campaigns lasting under 6 hours, I think this makes investing time and money in MOUSE easy.

Even if MOUSE wasn’t a world-beater, it would still be worth the money, but it IS a great shooter, it’s very unique, and has 20-30 hours of content for those who have a sense of mystery and a completionist attitude. In my review, I said: “MOUSE: P.I. For Hire might be the best pound-for-pound game of 2026.”

This statement is very accurate.

Has this convinced you to buy MOUSE? Is it a matter of time before Fumi Games gets the green light to work on a sequel? Let us know what you think of MOUSE by messaging the Insider Gaming Discord.
